A massive well done to Chris Parvia who won his fight on the 26th June 2008 at EFC 3.

Chris dominated from start to finish and is looking forward to his next fight soon.

Interclub Competition 06 July 2008

Well done to everyone who took part in NEKA's Interclub 2. All did extremely well.

Next Interclub will be on 26th October 2008 @ Temple Park starting at 11.00am.

Ring Use

Please see your instructor about the possibility of training sessions at the boxing gym with full use of Heavy Bags, Free Weights and Boxing Ring.

Sessions are £3.00 and that's paid to the boxing gym.

New BlackBelts

On Sunday 13th April 2008 six of the club's black tag's undertook their 1st Dan grading, after a gruelling grading we are happy to announce that the club has 5 new blackbelts. So a big congratulations to Julia Newcomb, Chris Parvia, Serena Ann Hawthorn, Elizabeth Scott and Kate Buckham.

Although the club has a few blackbelt girls, this is the first time the club has women instructors grade up to first Dan and become Junior Instructors.

The New blackbelts will be presented with their belts at the Wallsend grading on the 29th April 2008 at 7pm.

South Tyneside Open 2008

I'm pleased to say that the two lads from Wallsend club who took part in the South Tyneside Open today did extremely well.

Ellis Taylor (9 years old) winning his first fight, however unfortunately nerves got the better of him and he didn't feel up to carrying on afterwards.

James Brownlee (16 years old) did extremely well, and walked away with 2nd place.

We would also like to thank both Kate Buckham and Aden Young for watching over the two lads who were competing and helping them through it.

Well done to both lads and we look forward to taking part in more "opens" throughout the year.
